Developing innovative semiconductors and scintillators for Astrophysics, medical imaging and homeland security; characterizing carbon nanotubes and graphene; modeling atherosclerosis.
Life & Professional Aspirations:
My professional ambitions are to perform research that advances nanotechnology or Neuroscience. I also enjoy teaching and writing, and intend to author popular science books. I also enjoy international travel and working abroad, and wish to contribute to developing the research capabilities of Africa, Brazil and the Pacific region.
