23 year old Mr. Norman Reginald Houston-Pickett Jr. is the grandson of Mr. & Mrs. Otha & Ella Pickett- Briggs of Toledo Ohio. He is the oldest son of their 10th child baby daughter Joyce “LuLu” Houston-Pickett. Norman, better known as J.R. or “Reggi “ graduated from Robert S. Rogers High School in Toledo Ohio, he later furthered his educational career at the Historical Black College (HBCU) Central State University, where he will be graduating from May 10th , 2014 with a bachelors in Business Administration- concentrating in Hospitality Management. While a student at CSU, Norman displayed a vast amount of leadership & talents. He served as a member of the Central State marching band (Tuba) (4yrs), University Chorus (2yrs), Student Government Association (4yrs), freshman mentor, student ambassador, hospitality club president, and served as Mr. College of Business 2013-14. Norman is also a member of several national organizations such as; The National Collation of Black Meeting Planners, National Society of Minorities in Hospitality Management, and many more. He and his 2013-14 Queen is also the founders of the Houston-Riley College of Business Scholarship Award, that will award its first blessed student fall 2014. Norman also is the acting assistant minister of music at his neighborhood church “Driven by Purpose “in Columbus Ohio. “Reggi” has been recognized for several awards such as Dean’s List (3.2+ GPA), and over $27,000.00 in scholarships. In the summer of 2006 Norman started his very own home based event planning & design company (N’ventz), over the years N’ventz have designed, decorated, produced, and planned countless Weddings, Reunions, Banquets, Galas, Proms, Conferences, Meetings, Shows, and Concerts. Upon graduation (June 2014) Norman will transition to Houston, TX
