Ms. Tina Chestnut (Ty Mays) was born during an era when segregation was a diminishing era. Throughout her early childhood years, her parents strictly monitored and provided the necessary resources to enhance her level of intelligence, which was above most pre-school students. With her only sibling being equal in mental capacity, they both achieved exceptional grades during their academic years in elementary to high school. “I have always loved to read. Be it the preface to the climax of the story, the words become alive.
As my love for reading intensified, so did my love of writing. I love every avenue and aspect of the Arts. “
Her career and life accomplishments include: Completion of Associate of Science studies in Medical Assisting with a 3.6 (GPA) and is a United States Marine Corp, honorably discharged Veteran. 1st Runner-Up; Miss Ala Moana (Preliminaries for Miss Hawaii), CNA, Patient Care Technician, HHA certification, Administrative/Clerical/Customer Service employee skills, Founder of 3 non-profit organizations; “Touching Jesus Ministries,” “New Mercies Inc.,” and currently serves as Director of “Golden Foundations, Corporation.”
Ms. Chestnut is also a Gospel & Inspirational vocalist, facilitator of community outreach events, motivational speaker at local schools, correctional facilities and drug treatment centers. She also has received several awards in community advocacy, and is an inspiring writer, poet, Evangelist and devotes her life passionately in pursuing Christian service. She also has some published works, and hopes to one day soon have her first motivational book published.

Current Whereabouts:

Founder of Golden Foundations, Corporation (Non-Profit) A non-profit, non-denominational organization operated strictly by volunteers, and community leaders who are experienced in applying the Word of God to various issues which stagnate communities and families. We serve as community interventionist, with our main focus being a holistic approach to "cleaning up" a community/neighborhood. We are well versed in community advocacy, political reform rallies, workshops which offer skills and vocational rehab and referrals to assist the working family, and aide to those in dire need of health, housing and assistance. We have maintained strong networking potential to assist post-release inmates, and after-care to recovering drug addicts, victims of abuse and domestic violence issues.

Life & Professional Aspirations:

To continue the good fight for Christ Jesus. To passionately serve those individuals and families deprived of humane justice, income, essentials which sustain life. To serve as a Healthcare Advocate/Nurse/Counselor within the infrastructure of Golden Foundations. My goal is to house the terminally ill with hospice care. To educate ex-offenders through a vocational rehab workshop and extended program; with the ulterior motive of serving others than just themselves.
