About (request update)

I am a great learner. Although I may not be the most talented, I put my heart into my studies. I have grown to believe that knowledge is power and a mind is a terrible thing to waste. My reason for becoming a teacher is I want to share the knowledge I gain with my future students. I want my students to understand learning is just not for the classroom. No matter what subject they are trying to master these lessons are taught to us to help us understand the world we live in and how it works. When I think of the word teacher I see this career title beyond the classroom. I want to take advantage of the opportunity to be an influence on my students outside of the classroom. I want to be their mentor. Any encouragement or advice I give to my students I want to be able to back it up with proof. If I tell my students get involved with your community, I have to do the same. If I am going to give my students advice I have to be prepared to be able to guide them and give direction in order to insure they are able to follow through. I know I don't have all the answers, but I can surely find some that does.

Current Whereabouts:

Contact manager at Farmer's Insurance Group. Full time student at Harris Stowe State University. My major is Middle School Education Math. I am studying to receive my license in Property and Casualty Insurance, to be able to sell auto insurance in Missouri.

Life & Professional Aspirations:

Graduating before May of 2015 with my BA in Middle School Education. Continuing to complete my MA and PhD in Education(Graduate Sum-ma Cum Laud). Then working with the Board of Education to improve inner city school systems and provide our students with better community service and scholarship opportunities.

Most Memorable Moment:

My first day of school. I realized not many people don't get the opportunity to get an education. Just being in a classroom setting and gaining knowledge made me realize the future I have ahead will be bright and beyond my imagination.

Diploma, Soccer, Early childhood education, Turf management and Landscape design.
