About   (request update)
I've always been different. I was always the old soul of the group and what's interesting about that is that I'm also young at heart. I've always made people laugh, but I don't think I could be a comedian because when I try to plan out my comedy it never works. For about 6 years I was home-schooled and before that I went to a private school. That was an experience in and of itself. I was an outcast back then and I didn't understand why God put here or why I couldn't keep at least friend for that matter. Fifth grade was a very pivotal point for me because my learning disorder was catching up with me. It was then that I left the fast-past private school for a slower-paced public school. I remember my first day there. A kid came to office and showed me around and I we became good friends (for awhile). At this point in my life I was not only becoming a religious nutcase, but I don't think I understood the concept of "friend" either. That's what ended our friendship. January of 2004 I came down with asthma related issues and I had to miss school for what was at first a week, but then turned into the rest of my fifth grade year. First it was a horrendous cough; then it was stomachaches and somewhere in there was "I just don't want to go back to school so I'm gonna milk this as long as I can." I really shouldn't have been able to move on to the sixth grade, but for some reason God and His incomprehensible grace allowed me to move forward in the form of homeschooling. I hid behind the "umbrella" (for lack of a better word) for six years. I was very passive on education. It didn't click like it does now until somewhere in the eleventh grade I think. While I was homeschooled I began to take a serious interest in acting. That was the "umbrella-under-the-umbrella" I was completely brainwashed with the so called promise I created that I was going to be an actor and have my own T.V. show. And then it dawned on me that I don't deserve any of it-not to mention such a relaxed lifestyle. I was spoiled and I did very little when it came to showing gratitude. Talk about conviction! I decided that if I was going to be successful-since I'm going to be successful I want it to be because I earned it and not because it was just handed to me. That's why I won't accept an honorary degree. That's also when I found out that I had ADD. Again with obstacles! Fast forward to senior year, I made the risky decision to go back to Valley View High School of Moreno Valley, California. I chose to do my senior year there because I had been hearing about all the exiting things that happen in high school and I didn't want miss out on it. I was sick and tired of being in the house all the time all alone while my mom was at work. Simply put, it was time to move on. The director of the home school who I became well acquainted with tried to convince me to stay (awww) but I kindly declined. I had no idea was I was about to get myself into! Let me tell you something: Valley View High School is the toughest school in the area!!! I wish someone could've told me about the senior project and the suffocating rules that we had to play by. I wish I chose a different project other than a supposedly upcoming health campus with an outdoor mall. Needless to say, it was VERY VERY VERY VERY difficult. Talk about trial by fire. My faith in God was really tested over those ten months-and that's just with the senior project. It was nothing but the grace of the one true living God that I graduated. I was fine in my other classes, but if I so much as had one incomplete on that project I would have failed the whole thing and I wouldn't have been able to graduate. The stakes were that HIGH! So now here I am in community college getting my prerequisites out of the way so I can transfer preferably to an HBCU. The reason I want to go to an HBCU is so I can be around young African-Americans in my generation who have ostentatious aspirations and are willing to make sacrifices to fulfill them. In this day and age there are so many African-Americans who don't try and I want to do differently. Our ancestors didn't go through what they went through just so we could complacent with such lackadaisical lifestyles. WE OWE THEM AND WE OWE GOD BECAUSE HE DELIVERED US! So that's my story if you want to hear the more detailed version check me out on face book sometime. By the way I am no longer a religious freak! I'm all about the relationship factor.
Current Whereabouts:
Having a real relationship with God,Cross Word Christian Church(a church that actually has fun!) crosswordchurch.org , Architecture, Music, Modeling, Voice Over, Acting, Singing, playing the piano, Travel, Ebony Magazine, Essence Magazine, Architectural Digest, Imagining the possibilities, and T.D.Jakes
Life & Professional Aspirations:
I'm called to be a pastor, a leader, an innovator. I want to be a singer, a model, a better Christian, an actor, an inventor, I want my own talk show that deals with the issues of the today (and tomorrow's) youth. Somewhere in there I absolutely have to be daddy. I want to be able my kids what my father never gave me, his love. Before that I want to find that special someone that I can spend life with and marry her. College is just a beginning stepping stone for what I'm gonna do in this life that God has given me, but it is nonetheless a structural pillar on which my adult life will be built upon. Can you believe all of is this is coming from a teenager?

Thank you DESMOND for Visiting my profile The website presentation http://www.trylightyear.com/ is not directly about paying off student loans. But Take notice of the 2nd testimonial (which is 2min. into the video) when the single mother talks about sharing this LightYear Wireless concept with her 2 daughters. IT was at that moment I decided to put together a simple spend sheet that any HBCU-CONNCTION student could use to take control of their student debt. Please simply reply by going to my profile website an under my picture entry your infro. I'm only asking that you let me get this FREE spend sheet into your hands. I like to hear your opinion about this concept for paying bac student loans. Have a blessed day.
