As a business professional, I was employed by the New York City Mayor’s Commission for the United Nations and Consular Corps, as Assistant to the Director of Consular Corps Affairs. In that capacity, I acted as liaison to the diplomatic community in New York, including the NY City Police Intelligence Division, Motor Vehicles Dept., Parking Violations Bureau, and diplomatic associations. As an education professional, I worked as a classroom teacher for inclusion and resource students with varying disabilities and abilities, and frequently participated on school-based IEP teams, in order to construct, monitor, and adjust plans to meet students’ needs. My most recent venture was in the form of entrepreneurship, where I designed, made and sold various handicrafts.
Current Whereabouts:
I am currently into creating beautiful handicrafts, sublimated T-shirts, cups, and cups.

I have been author and publisher of an Online cultural magazine, Bajan Diaspora Online for thirteen years.

I have 24 years of experience working in the Teaching / K-12 Education industry.

As a classroom teacher, I assumed all teacher responsibilities, including classroom management, and lesson planning and delivery. I taught Basic Skills in Grades K-8, and was instrumental in classroom management. As a special education teacher, I taught Science, Language Arts, and Math, attended professional seminars and workshops, graded assignments, performed IEP modifications, monitored progress reports, participated in parent-teacher conferences, and engaged in professional and curriculum development. I also worked as a Resource Room teacher, and performed administrative duties. Some of my worked involved substituting for other teachers in various school districts.
