I've attended three HBCUs (Prairie View, Jackson State, and Texas Southern). My experiences along the way resulted in greater self-discovery and worldliness. After starting out as the "greenest" freshman ever with plans of becoming a doctor, I'm now a Ph.D. Candidate in African American History.

My second novel, Finding Jamaica, was recently published. I'm a Kappa, former snare drummer, and current resident of Memphis. Whether you remember me from the yard or not, drop me a line!
