Conditioning for excellence has been the theme of Tim’s life since childhood. Reaching beyond the norm and preparing to dwell amongst the best in whatever objectives he chose has guided his path to success. As a three-sport (football, basketball, and track) athlete and honors student at Peach County High School in Fort Valley, GA, Tim excelled on the field of play and in the classroom. Upon graduating in 1988, he received a number of college scholarship offers for football. He chose Howard University over more auspicious football programs. At Howard, Tim continued a successful scholastic and football career. He has the distinction of being the first Athlete in the history of Howard University to be named to the GTE Academic All-America Team, and was also named All-Conference, All-American, and Defensive Player of the Year in each of his final two college seasons. His scholastic honors include being chosen by the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences to participate in the National Name Exchange for outstanding academic achievement by juniors and seniors, and selection as a lifetime member of the Golden Key International Honour Society. Tim completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Merchandising and Business Marketing 1992, followed by post-graduate studies in Athletic Administration. In 2005, Tim was honored with induction into the Howard University Athletics Hall of Fame.
The Green Bay Packers selected Tim in the 1993 NFL Draft. He went on to have a well-traveled 7-year professional football career, playing alongside such NFL legends as Joe Montana, Marcus Allen, and Ronnie Lott. During his career he served as a Captain for both the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles. In reaching the pinnacle of his career Tim met the anticipated obstacles and detractors. However, he believed that nothing could stand in the way of his achieving greatness. He credits proper preparation, attitude, motivation, relationships, and information for his continued success.
Tim has been able to catapult his personal business ventures by applying the wisdom from the “gridiron” and everyday life. In addition to life coaching and speaking engagements, Tim serves as a Financial Services Specialist with State Farm Insurance. In this role, he helps Agents in their Good Neighbor pledge by teaching financial services strategies for the underserved markets of middle America. With an enduring passion for helping others, he shares his business insights, life-skills, and sales expertise from an entertaining, engaging, and unique perspective. With a passionate and frank delivery style, Tim has become an invaluable resource for companies, sports teams, schools, and youth organizations. Answering the call to the ministry of Jesus Christ, Tim was ordained Non-denominationally in the spring of 2002. He is also a Certified Life Coach, Small Business Coach, Corporate Wellness Coach, Certified Personal Fitness Trainer, and Certified Training Director.
Tim and wife Audrey live in Atlanta, GA. He’s also the proud father of three children: Tre’ (7/96), Lexi (7/97), and Christian (5/99). The Watsons remain active in their local community through charitable work via involvement with the NFL Alumni Association, The Tampa Beautification Program (on whose Board of Trustees Tim serves), their local church, and their personal philanthropic organization (UPLIFT Excellence Foundation, Inc.) which annually provides food and toys to families in need during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. Tim also gives back to local youth by coaching and sponsoring youth football and track programs, instructing youth sports camps, and conducting life-skills seminars for young students and scholar-athletes. He is also honored to be a man of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. In addition to being a leader in the business, Tim has served in several volunteer leadership positions; including serving as Co-Chair (with wife, Audrey) of UPLIFT Excellence Foundation, Inc. (1994 – Present), League Director for the Air Raid Football Organization of Arizona NYS (2001-2005), President of the Talas Homeowners Association, an exclusive upscale community in Peoria, AZ (2001-2003), and President of the NFL Alumni Tampa Chapter (2007 –2009).

James Timothy Watson Jr. (born August 13, 1970 in Fort Valley, Georgia) is a former American football safety in the National Football League for the Kansas City Chiefs, the New York Giants, and the Philadelphia Eagles. He played college football at Howard University. Watson is currently an Agency Recruiter in Atlanta with State Farm Insurance. He's also a Motivational Speaker, Author, and Lifestyle Coach; and serves as Lead Pastor for UPLIFT Community Fellowship, a non-denominational Christian church-plant in SW Atlanta, GA. He remains active in his local community through charitable work via involvement with his Fraternity (Omega Psi Phi, Inc.), the NFL Alumni Association, and through his personal philanthropic organization UPLIFT Excellence Foundation, Inc. which provides food and toys annually to families in need during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays among other civic focused causes.
