Candace Chambers is an intelligent, goal driven young lady and aspires to achieve greatness in every task. She is currently pursuing her Masters of Arts degree in English with a concentration on Composition, Rhetoric, and English studies. She serves as a writing center assistant director and consultant in the University of Alabama's Writing Center. She also teaches a section of freshmen composition.

Candace obtained her Bachelors of Arts degree from Jackson State University. She graduated summa cum laude and had the highest GPA in the Department of English and Modern Foreign Languages and the College of Liberal Arts. With a 3.98, she had the third highest GPA in the class of 2015. She was named a HBCU All-Star by the White House Initiative on Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

For three years, Candace has been a Pathways Intern with the United States Department of Agriculture/ Natural Resources Conservation Service of Mississippi. She has written numerous feature stories, success stories, interviewed farmers and landowners, edited publications, formatted documents, and managed the agency's Twitter page.

Candace plans to pursue her Ph.D. in the fall of 2017. She is the CEO of DC Writing in Action L.L.C., a professional writing and editing online writing center.
