Dr. Kimberly Handy is an English teacher with West St. John High School, Edgard, LA. In this role, Handy assists with developing, implementing, and monitoring of high academic standards for all students. Prior to working for West St. John High School, Dr. Handy received her undergraduate degree in Human Services, an Ed.D in Administrator Leadership for Teaching and Learning at Walden University, Minneapolis, MN, two M.S.Ed degrees, a M.Ed. degree, a B.S. degree, and an e-Learning certificate. Handy holds a current professional teaching certificate from Alaska and Louisiana, with endorsements in English for Grades 7-12 and Advanced Placement Literature and Language. Additionally, she holds administrative certificates from Alaska, with endorsements as a principal (K-12) and superintendent (K-12), and currently pursuing an Ed.S in Reading and Literacy Leadership. Handy is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Order of the Eastern Stars, and various professional groups.
