About   (request update)
I am a very outgoing person. People consider me as being shy, but inside of this shy person I see greatness. My mom has instilled leadership, confidence, integrity, and so many other attributes in me, and I appreciate them all.
Many also see the " athletic girl" , but as I matured during the year I've learned that there is more to life than just what is exciting to me in the moment. Leadership means a lot to me. Having this responsibility is not only a privilege, but an honor as
well. Being a leader first requires discipline. Without discipline there is no way you can guide someone else. After discipline comes understanding. You have to be able to understand and communicate with those that look up to you.
You never know who is watching, or is learning from your actions.
Over the past few years I have achieved many accomplishments. In sports, I have be awarded one of the many All County Tournament players in the sports of volleyball, and basketball. This year alone I
joined a community leadership group-Delteens- and have served my community many times. I have a heart to serve, and I love serving with the people I love most. As you've learned, I play sports. This summer, as I was playing
in a tournament, I tore my ACL. This injury has taught me a lot, and how strong I can be. In the beginning of this storm I was discouraged at first, but as I began to accept it, I finally realized that it is already done and there is nothing
that I can change about what happened. Of course it's my senior year, but sometimes God allows things to happen so that we can open our eyes to what He has in stored for us, and so He can receive the glory in the end. I know
this is tough but I have worked to hard to give up now. I REFUSE.
I wish to attend college because I know that it is direction I need to go in order for me to be successful. I also believe college will be a great foundation for the beginning of my career. Attending college will
teach me how to survive in this world, as well as how to never give up. I plan on studying in the field of Psychology, and minor in Finance. In the future, I plan to become a mentor to many young people. Especially
those that struggle with family issues such as divorce, parental disagreements, feeling discouraged, and feeling unwanted. Young people of the future will need someone that can relate to their situations and someone that
will never give up on them. I strongly believe that as long as I stay determined, I can accomplish this goal.
