I am Finance Major from California. I go to Oakwood University in Northern Alabama. Oakwood University is a HBCU. I enjoy meeting new people and networking. I am currently in Enactus, Financial Management Association (FMA), as well as The National Association for Black Accountants (NABA). I changed my major to finance my second year of college and am glad that I did, for I love that change I made. I also have worked for two years at a group home in California with underprivileged and at risk children. I received Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) Training from Cornell University while I worked there. I also currently work The Bradford-Cleveland-Brooks Leadership Center. This center trains individuals in successful leadership skills. Overall I like to learn and gather what I have learned to help others as well as my community.
Current Whereabouts:
I am interested in reading and watching documentaries to learn about the world around me. I also enjoy helping others. That is why I am in Enactus (formerly known as SIFE).
Life & Professional Aspirations:
After I finish college I would like to work in the field of Finance for a couple of years to gain experience. I would then like to go on to The Wharton School of Business to receive an MBA. With that degree would like to continue working in corporate America to one day become a CFO of a major company. Also with this degree I would like to help young people by teaching them financial empowerment and exposing to them economic opportunities.

Claim To Fame:
I am currently an active member in the Oakwood University Enactus Organization at my school. Our team went to the Southern Regional Competition to compete and left champions.
Most Memorable Moment:
My most memorable college moments are changing my major to Finance and knowing my true purpose in life as well as joining Enactus and my team becoming regional champions.

Hi, Sam ! Wow that is the same type of job my cousin Mike Cox and had working at the Children's Hospital NOHA in New Orleans, LA when I was in school for Child Development, trained by the state to do Therapeutic Crisis Intervention with underprivileged and at risk children from 1986 to 1995. So, your a finance major, seem like we keep running into you by inter net. Thought you were pre law major, well that is good all the same. Did not know we were both business majors. Me Office Systems and you Finance. Could have got you to assist me with my account it was hard. Wish I had know the class is over now and I did not do well in it because of the math. Sure wish I had know you were a finance major I would have ask for you assistance my be you and I could have studied by email. Get my tutor ing for it at A & M, the tutor was good but if I could have used some tutoring from family. Ms. Beverly Stanford your cousin Ant Betty daughter.
