Claim To Fame:
I am a single mother of three who have had many struggles in life. In 2006, I attempted to kill myself because I was down and out and felt like my kids would be better off without me. I didn't have a job, car or any help. I was also on drugs that pretty much took over my life. I moved to Columbus, Oh July 2006 and have since turned my life around. I graduate May 10, 2013 with Honors. I have been drug free since July 1, 2013. I feel as if I had someone there for me when I was going through my struggles, I wouldn't have gone through a lot of things. Then again, had I not gone through those things I wouldn't be the woman I am today. I want to be there to encourage, support, and mentor the people I come in contact with on a day to day basis, not only at my job (future job). Since I used gas to pour around the house, I was charged with Arson. This has prevented me from getting/finding employment. With my degree, I intend on opening up my own business and helping people that can't get a second chance in life like me. All we need is one chance.
Most Memorable Moment:
My most memorable moment in college was getting the letter of being on the Dean's list. I was extremely happy. I was a bully growing up and used my power to get the other students to do my work. I enrolled in college because I was old that I could get a check. That was the only thing on my mind. I started excelling in my studies and liked the feeling of the recognition I received, plus I was making my children proud. MY daughter told me "Mom I am so happy that you are happy. I haven't seen you smile in a long time!" That right there was my most memorable moment. Sowing them that even though we have been through so much you can still come out on top.
High School: Mansfield Senior High in Mansfield, OH class of 1988

Activities & Accomplishments:
Black Culture Club (Treasure), Cheerleader, Pep Club, Basketball
Best Memories:
My best high school memory is being the person that people look up to. My best friend came to and told me that she was very proud of me that I was graduating, because she didn't finish school. He abusive boyfriend made her quit. I began tutoring her and lifting her up to the point she went back and got her GED.
