Shante is the oldest of 3 children. She was the first in her family to graduate from college. She wnet on to finish a doctoral degree at The Ohio State Universtiy in Integrated Biomedical Science in 4.5 years and secure a position in the competitive world of biotechnology fianance before graduating. She has since decided to continue her education and will recieve an MBA from Queen's University of Charlotte in May. She is the youngest in her executive class and was the recipient of the Charlotte Business Woman of the Year Fellowship. Shante remains an active member of her church and commited to the community by helping to mentor young students in the community. She helps to educate young people on the issues facing the community to include the need for greater political awareness, the importance of financial aptitude, and issues relating to overall healthcare.
