With an unwavering commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ, Dr. Seretha Renee Pearsall is a woman in pursuit of all things concerning God.
A native Washingtonian, Seretha has always been an active member of the body of Christ. Deepening her roots at the Park Road Community Church as a choir member, youth leader and Sunday School teacher. In 2006 she responded to the call of Ministry and under the leadership of Bishop Earl A. Ross she was licensed in January 2009 as a Minister of the New Smyrna Missionary Baptist Church. Seretha currently serves as Dean of the Sword of the Spirit Bible Institute in Washington D.C. In 2013 she reconnected with the Park Road Community Church under the leadership of Reverend Dr. Shirley B. Cooper to focus on Pastoral Ministry.
Seretha’s vision for evangelistic ministry is expressed in Women Empowering Women, a non-profit organization, where she serves as Director. Through this ministry, Seretha has entered low income urban areas to introduce keys for empowerment through self-esteem and enrichment classes for young girls and single mothers using Biblical principles. WEW has also partnered with several churches to bring clothing and personal items to homeless and displaced women.
Seretha matriculated in many Universities and Institutions of Higher Learning. She earned Bachelors of Science in Political Science and Sociology in 1998 from the University of the District of Columbia and Masters of Social Work and Divinity degrees from Howard University in 2000 and 2011. Most recently she benefitted from being a Fellow with the Inaugural Black Theology and Leadership Institute at Princeton Theological Seminary in Princeton, New Jersey. Her expressed interests are Women in Ministry as well as the Sociology of Religion.
She will enter Howard University School of Divinity in January 2014 for the Doctor of Ministry degree.

I am a published poet. In October 2013 one of my poems will be featured in a benefit book for Sarah Refuge (A North Carolina Agency) The book is entitled "Breaking the Silence: Victim No More"
