Highlights:
• Since arriving to Fayetteville State University Dr. Beale has streamlined first-year supplemental instruction, math and writing center supports and best practices. Recognizing that student retention in the first two years is the hallmark to graduation rates Beale has worked hard with coordinators to reform and advance strategies and operational plans.
• To date Beale is helping to organize and develop an aggressive, yet substantive approach to undergird higher need subgroups on campus. Dr. Beale led a leadership campaign for students who required additional academic supports during their initial semester.
• September 9th launched the inaugural University College week on campus. UC leadership has worked to partner with numerous service areas and resourceful advocates on campus to expose students early to the many resources available on campus.
• Professional development opportunities have increased for advisors and student employees. PD has been inclusive of Noel-Levitz, National Tutor Association, and transitional studies components to name some.
