About   (request update)
Hari (pronounced Ha-dee) Williams is the second of three kids of very creative parents. He was always encouraged to pursue artistic endeavors, including drawing, writing, and most importantly, theater; appearing on stage since he was 6 years old. At age 13, however, he decided that he wanted to only do acting and began to audition for commercial and TV work.

Seeking to expand his knowledge of the acting craft, Hari left the comforts of his family home in the Los Angeles suburb of Calabasas, CA. He ventured 3,000 miles away from Hollywood, and enrolled in the prestigious theater arts program at Howard University (“HU”) where he earned a BFA and appeared in many university and local-area theater productions. He recalls Howard as “an experience of a lifetime where I met incredible people who continue to inspire me, and the place that truly laid the foundation for the artist that I am continuing to develop in to.”

After graduating HU and moving back to Los Angeles, Hari gained invaluable experience behind the scenes, working on several short and feature films, as well as reality and game show television productions. It wasn’t long though, before he returned to acting, appearing in several stage, film and television productions including Caged Animal starring Ving Rhames, and Discovery ID’s hit show, Wicked Attraction.
Feeling that he was once again ready to develop his other creative interests beyond the acting bug that hit him at age 13, Hari expanded his creative horizon, by penning Douglass U, in which he co-starred and served as one of the film's producers. The feature film is loosely based on his time at Howard and tells the hilarious coming-of-age story of a freshman student at the country’s premier HBCU.

Hari recently added directing to artistic accomplishments with Sex (Therapy) With the Jones, the comedic sequel to Sex With the Jones, the first short film he penned and that played at several film festivals in Los Angeles. There is at least one more script that he has written that he plans to direct before the year is out.
Hari is thrilled to take on his most substantial role to date as “Future”, the spoken-word revolutionary in My Crazy Roommate, Bounce TV’s first original sitcom. The hysterical role has allowed him to collaborate with a very talented ensemble that has the ability to find the comedic gold in any situation and let it shine luminously. With great talent assembled both in front of and behind the camera, Hari looks forward to My Crazy Roommate being the show to watch October 14th and every Monday night that follows.
Howard University provided the inspiration for two exciting projects that Hari is involved in, the first being Douglass U, a comedic feature film that he wrote and starred in that tells the very funny coming of age story of a Black kid from a predominately white high school struggling to make it at an HBCU, more information can be found at www.DouglassU.com. The second is Howton U, a webseries created by fellow HU alumni Ashford Thomas, Hari serves as one of the series' executive producers and lead characters, it follows the hilarious trials and tribulations of three very different freshman roommates at one of the nation's premier HBCUs, episodes of the acclaimed series can be seen at www.HowtonU.com.
