Dr. Simpfronia Taylor received her B.A. from Dillard University (New Orleans, LA). She received her M.Ed. and her Ed.D from the University of Georgia (Athens, GA). She has experience mentoring and advising classroom teachers. She has conducted teacher development programs in Georgia and Tennessee. Dr. Taylor has trained teachers on Problem-Based Learning (PBL) strategies, specifically how to connect PBL to educational standards. PBL is a student-centered instructional strategy that values the talents of a diverse group of learners. Dr. Taylor is the author of Teacher Efficacy: Overcoming Barriers To Computer Instruction (2012) (LAP LAMBERT Academic Publishing). Dr. Taylor has over 20 years of educational experience at the Preschool, Elementary, and College levels. Dr. Taylor currently serves at the University Of Tennessee Health Science Center (Memphis) in the Office of Student Affairs.
