Danielle Benson is a Columbus native and a 1998 graduate of Columbus Independence High School. After obtaining her Associates Degree from Columbus State Community College, she transferred to Kentucky State University. While attending KSU she was a member of the 2002 & 2003 back to back Eastern Conference Championship Volleyball team. Majoring in Psychology with a minor in Business she graduated with honors while caring for her young daughter Jalaina.

Currently Danielle is the owner and designer of Nontle Jewelry, which offers unique one-of-a-kind handcrafted jewelry. She is the
co-owner of 2 Girls Volleyball, which focuses on the development of young volleyball player and the head volleyball coach at Columbus International High School.

�I wouldn't trade my experience at KSU for any other school. I was able to get a quality education from professors that I felt cared about me as a person. I was able to meet new people that I now consider some of my closest friends. And as a bonus, I was able to continue to play the sport that I love. I would recommend Kentucky State University to anyone in search of a quality education, beautiful campus and a unique cultural experience."
