I'm Arella Fields, and I am an 18-year-old, second-semester feshmen at Oklahoma State University. I am currently majoring in Nutritional Sciences with an option in Dietetics. I devote my time the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, the African-American Student Association, and the Oklahoma Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation. Also, I was currently engaging in a research project with a group of graduate students and my nutrition professor. We are investigating the effects mangos have on human body composition and and blood glucose.
Current Whereabouts:
Nutriton and the science behind living healthy, active lifestyles.
Life & Professional Aspirations:
In my future, I plan to attend OSU for the next four years to obtain my Bachelor’s degree majoring in Nutritional Sciences with the Dietetics and Exercise option. During college, I plan to pledge in a sorority by my third semester, particularly historical black, and become deeply involved on campus. After my undergraduate level, I also plan to complete the Dietetics Internship program here at Oklahoma State while pursuing my Master’s Degree in nutrition. Once I become a dietitian, I plan either start my own private practice in the heart of one of the rougher communities back in my hometown, or work at a large hospital that does not deny citizens who are less fortunate and cannot afford healthcare in the Washington, D.C. area. My pursuit of a dietetic career is due to the high necessity of dietitians that will occur in the future of the medical world and I want to become educated on nutrition in order to help my loved ones who have illnesses related to their diet.

Claim To Fame:
All high school, I have maintained a 4.0 GPA, and as of my first semester in college, I am on the Dean's Honor Roll and a member of the Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society.
Most Memorable Moment:
My most memorable college moment so far is attending the Cotton Bowl in Arlington, TX during the 2013 football season.

Activities & Accomplishments:
Naional Honor Society, Recipient of the Booker T. Washington Hall of Fame Scholarship, member of Student Council, Spanish Club, Girls Track, Volleyball, Hornet Ambassador, and Hornets for Christ. Iwas
Best Memories:
My best high school memory was walking across the stage at graduation and being noticed in the Homecoming Coronation Assembly.
