About   (request update)
I grew up in a house of seven children. For some time we were raised by a single mother. Both my father and grandfather were Pastor-preachers. I now bare the family torch as a third generational preacher. My mother went to a community college and received an AA degree, aside from this, I am the first of my siblings and my generation to attend a four-year degree program. Growing up I was drawn to music and learned to the piano. By middle school I found refuge in the roots of African-American literature and history. This cemented my desire to attend a Historically Black Institution (HBCU). I began to follow the philosophies of many Civil Rights Activists such as my late uncle, the Rev. Fred L. Shuttlesworth. Since I was a child I was active in community outreach. I began to expand my horizons through the NAACP in High School. As of now, I am currently a Christian Methodist Episcopal (CME) preacher at Mother Liberty CME Church. Outside of my calling as a minister I am a peer tutor and mentor at St. Paul CME church. My goal is to aspire today's youth to seek greatness through higher education and servitude through the community.
Current Whereabouts:
I am currently a college sophomore attending Lane College. I am a full-time student and part-time worker. I attend Mother Liberty CME church and volunteer as a tutor and peer mentor for St. Paul's Brotherhood/Sisterhood Community Outreach program. Since Fall 2013 I have been an active member of the Lane College NAACP Chapter and community speaker.
Life & Professional Aspirations:
Upon completing my college career, I wish to one day serve a calling within a calling as a U.S. Navy Chaplain. After I retire from active duty and receive certification to teach, my goal is to continue serving as a Reserve Chaplain and College professor while staying active with the NAACP and community outreach programs.

Claim To Fame:
As the first of seven children, and my generation, to attend college, I hope to act as a beckon of hope and inspire my siblings to pursue high education. I have a strong sense of respect and admiration for African-American History and wish to impact future generations but educating today's youth. I am a Christian Methodist Episcopal (CME) preacher and regard myself as a vessel who not only aspires to serve a calling within a calling as a U.S. Navy Chaplain but as a college educator and community activist. I recognize America needs more strong African-American men to help rescue a failing generation and I accept the task wholeheartedly.
