Joshua K. Mack was born to Monroe T. Mitchell and the late Betty L. Mack on April 6, 1992 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

He is a product of the Carter G. Woodson School, a public charter school in Forsyth County, North Carolina. In high school Joshua’s empathetic speaking style and aptitude for words earned him the distinction of Poet Laureate.

The grandson of prominent civil rights leaders, Joshua gained experience and exposure to ministry and the role of Religion in society, early and often. He began at age 11 helping his grandmother organize a rally at the North Carolina state capitol for increases in minimum wage rates for city workers.

Later as a teenager he became increasingly involved in human rights and youth advocacy. Joshua served as a delegate to the North Carolina Youth Legislative assembly for three consecutive years; he also served as a delegate to the North Carolina Teen Council and as a Page for the North Carolina House of Representatives’.

As a college student Joshua become the first President of his College’s Active Minds Chapter, He also received an appointment as interim president for the Student NAACP, and served both as a skilled liaison and lead financial advisor for his college’s Campus Ministry. Joshua’s most recent involvement in human rights was in July of 2013. Joshua returned to the North Carolina state capitol in the wake of the Moral Monday Movement to raise awareness about the appeal for the Kalvin Michael Smith case of 1995 a case related to racial profiling.

In august of 2013, Joshua K. Mack, received his ordination to the office of Ruling Elder in the Presbyterian Church (USA), having ascending to the highest ordered ministry for laity by the laying on of hands of ruling elders and teaching elders.

While glorifying God through ministry and community edification has always been an
Essential part of his ministry, Elder Joshua K. Mack is also a dynamic scholar, singer, teacher and Preacher. He is currently a student at Livingstone College in Salisbury North Carolina, where he is earning his Bachelors of Arts in Psychology with a concentration in entrepreneurship.
