Born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in northern New Jersey, Alfonso D. Wright, is an author on the rise. His first novel, I Live: A Novel Without Heroes, published in 2012, has the intention of sharing urban fiction with a broad audience. It has since gained praise in urban fiction circles for its realism and modern twist on urban literature.

While Wright attributes several global authors as stylistic influences, he first discovered a love for writing while enrolled in an Honors African-American History class at Hampton University.

Wright co-founded the HBCU-centric social network, Alumni Roundup with Howard University alumni and childhood friends Rustin and Bryndan Moore. An advocate for urban education, he formerly served as the New Media Coordinator for the Office of Family and Public Engagement at DC Public Schools.
