The understanding and compassion that I have for others is what makes me special, especially in a selfish society like the one we live in.

Current Whereabouts:

I am currently into reading and furthering my research that I am conducting on family composition and academic achievement. Also, this summer I had the dream to oversee a back to school drive for local elementary school Bethel Grove in Memphis, TN and got over 500 dollars worth of school supplies to assist the parents this 2014-2015 school year.

Life & Professional Aspirations:

It is my dream to start my own non profit that focuses on children in urban communities. I'd like to open up a "safe haven" for young children where they can get the help that some children aren't fortunate enough to receive at home. I'd like to provide tutoring services, a counseling center, ACT prep courses and much more.

Most Memorable Moment:

My most memorable college moment is when I first arrived at Rust College and I immediately saw this "family" I had heard so much about. I have family members who attended and was welcomed by current students before move in day. Getting out of the car I was greeted with students ready to help move and unpack. That was my first impression of Rust and at that moment, my family and I were sure that I made the right choice. Like many others, we thought it was only a show to impress the students, but still, 4 years later, the Rust College family remains.
