About   (request update)
My name is Adrianne E. Williams, and I am currently a sophomore at Howard University. My major is Sports Management with a minor in Mathematics. I am a very independent, dependable, and skillful person. I enjoy assisting anyone how needs help or an ear to listen. Once I discovered my love in mathematics, I have worked very hard to help others not fear it and learn to use to for that advantage. I was able to enhance and gain strong leadership skills as a member and office in the Phi Mu Alpha math club in high school. I was allowed to use my talents and inspire others by coordinating the Annual Pi Day festivities. This was a great tool for students and teachers to interact with fun activities. Since arriving at the university, I have been given the opportunity to work hands on in a profession that is male dominated. I am representing Howard and creating my brand in the sports world as a knowledgeable and reliable individual. Not only am I learning in the staff and instructors at Howard about sports management but life lessons that will be beneficial to me and help me move ahead as my career advances.

A sports statistician is a very competitive field and I want to continue to grow and learn with each assignment and as technology advances on how the job is done. I will use my work to travel and see more of the world. I truly enjoy life and I have grown as a college student. Meeting new people and learning about their life experiences has been eye-opening. We are all the same moving towards a goal of improvement and happiness. After graduation in 2017, I know that I will be prepared for all that life has to offer me.
Life & Professional Aspirations:
My life and personal aspirations are to work professionally in the NFL a Statistician. I am motivated and inspired to continue to perfect my skills in order to advance in any the organization where I am employed. I will continue to give back to my community by mentoring and assisting students in the area of mathematics. As a statistician I seek to build a solid client base and open my own business heading my own statistician crew.

Claim To Fame:
My claim to fame is my love and passion for everything Math. That love has allowed me to meet and mentor classmates and others by helping them not fear math. That fame has allowed to want to pursue and learn about my future career to work for a NFL team as a Statistician and would like to do that for the NBA. I know I would enjoy this job just as much because it combines my love for math with sports. My claim to fame will be that as a female I will work in a male dominated profession
Most Memorable Moment:
My most memorable college experience has working in the Sports Information department at Howard University. I have traveled to many sporting events and provided the stats for football and basketball games. I have meet and talked with many professionals in all areas of sports management and I have learned so much and had fun doing what I love. Working games for the Washington Redskins, the DC area state basketball tournament and Under Armour clinics will always be special memories for me.

“Man often becomes what he believes himself to be. If I keep on saying to myself that I cannot do a certain thing, it is possible that I may end by really becoming incapable of doing it. On the contrary, if I have the belief that I can do it, I shall surely acquire the capacity to do it even if I may not have it at the beginning.” ― Mahatma Gandhi
