About   (request update)
My name is Brandon Jackson, an honor student attending Dr. Henry A. Wise, Jr., High School with a 3.3 GPA, a member of the National Honor Society and the National Technical Honor Society. For more than five years, I have been involved in the Empowering Males to Build Opportunities for Developing Independence (EMBODI) Program, which is an organization designed to create community-minded males by being actively involved in service learning and community service opportunities. The mentors in the program have impressed upon me the importance of honesty and integrity amongst abiding by my obligation and responsibilities at home, school, and church.

Raised in a single-parent household, I have taken on the role of being the man of the house and do my share in helping to keep our home as orderly as possible. I share in cooking and cleaning tasks as it is important for me to learn how to give more of myself and to learn how to care for my self as I will soon have to be able to take care of myself.

At school, I am a 4th year member of the Varsity Football team and, even when I was on “injury reserve” pitched in to help setup for the games and cheered my teammates on until I had recovered and able to play. I am also a proud member of the distinguished AMATE and Student Ambassador groups and enjoy every opportunity we have been afforded to help in the community and show leadership as young men.

In my community and church, I have participated in missions to feed the homeless and help repair homes of the elderly. Through such services, I have learned how physical, mental, and spiritual wellness play very important roles in becoming a well rounded, distinguished, and respected leader. I have also learned the importance of education, having a strong moral character, and being someone who is trust-worthy and reliable.
Current Whereabouts:
I enjoy playing football and basketball.
Life & Professional Aspirations:
I aspire to be an Accountant, which is another way I will make a positive impact on the world because Accounting has a significant impact on the economic development of our society and can be a potent influence in society, which affects everybody and will affect every aspect of all of our lives, for better or worse. As a citizen, I expect to give back to the community what it has given me by supplementing as a mentor, advisor, and steward. I desire to help young men understand that they can overcome many obstacles and the only person who can truly hold them back is the weakness of their own minds because whatever you put your mind too and remain committed will, and can, have a very strong and powerful impact on the world.
