I was born February 21, 1971 in Wilmington, Delaware. I graduated from Alexis I. duPont high school in 1989 where I was a two time state wrestling champion. I earned an athletic scholarship to Morgan State University for wrestling; graduating in 1994 with a Bachelors in Marketing. After spending several years in the banking industry, I made a career change and entered the armed forces in 2004. I graduated US Army Infantry training in 2005 and entered Airborne school. I was assigned to Bravo Company 1st Battalion 325 Airborned Infantry Regiment. I deployed to Afghanistan in 2005 as part of a security detail during the historic first democratic election in the country's history. In 2006, I was deployed to Iraq as part of a joint task force with special operations in the hunt for insurgent terrorist cells. In 2007 I was deployed to Iraq as part of the surge force to uproot and expel insurgent cells from Iraq. I returned to the US in 2009 and entered the New Castle County Police Academy; graduating at the top of my class at the age of 38. After a brief stint with the County, I became a Constable with the State of Delaware, eventally becoming a Constable in the private sector with the Christiana Care Health System.
