About   (request update)
I think I'm special because during my childhood I would have to describe myself as a giving, intelligent, and hard working person. Even now that I’ve matured into a young adult I still continue to carry on with those particular traits. I’ve achieved numerous things so far throughout my lifetime experience. Even though I’m reaching the end of my high school career, this isn’t particularly the end of my educational experience. I’m well aware that by achieving more goals, this will strengthen my future plans as well as put my mind at ease. My plans are to further my education by attending college. Even when I obtain my Bachelor’s degree I plan on pursuing my Master’s degree. I know that by attending college I’m setting more goals for myself that will allow me to be further along with what I am trying to pursue as a career in the future.
Participating in extracurricular activities serves as an important aspect when trying to obtain a college education. During these four years of high school, I’ve participated in a fair share of extracurricular activities. I’ve participated in the athletics program at school as well as volunteering during the entire summer at a group home for children of all ages. One of the activities that I participated in included cheerleading. Cheering for my high school has created a way for me to evolve, learn new things about people and how to deal with new situations. I’ve been a cheerleader for about fourteen or fifteen years now. That’s basically most of my life devoted to this activity. Cheer has had its high and lows for me, but all of that collectively made me a stronger person and has created a different learning experience for myself.
Volunteering was an entirely new experience for myself as well while working at the children's group home. When I started to work at this particular group home, I was able to gain a lot more insight on some of the children’s experiences before they came to the home. When I got to learn about the lives of these kids, I was able to open my eyes and my mind to the fact that not everyone was able to be blessed with a stable environment. I actually started to understand that everyone goes through experiences that are different from mine. some of their experiences were painful and heartless but that;s what they were accustomed to. During that summer I was given the experience of a lifetime to be a part of making these kids happy. These extracurricular activities have actually helped me gain a more clear understanding on what life is about. I can also take some of what I’ve learned from participating in these activities to put toward pursuing more lifetime goals in the future.
Being able to be discipline and mature enough to handle certain situations throughout life is a sense of growing as a person internally and externally. I do know that within different aspects of my life I will encounter numerous events and challenges that will help me grow stronger in order to achieve more in my life. I really don’t know what the future holds for me, but I will continue to work harder each and every day until I do achieve the goals that I am trying to gain in my life.
