About   (request update)
Vincent Owoseni is a 20-year old native of Brooklyn, New York. He is the first of five children and the son of two hardworking Nigerian immigrants. As a child, the principle of achievement was instilled in him. At the tender age of 3, he read his first newspaper and then taught his younger brother how to read. He graduated as valedictorian of his elementary school. Additionally, he graduated as valedictorian form high school at the age of 16.

Vincent then studied Civil Engineering at the New York City College of Technology (NYCCT) for two years on a full scholarship. During his career at NYCCT, he became the Founder and CEO of a clothing company named "Appetite For Distinction", for which the motto was "Cultivating a society of purpose-driven young individuals". He realized that his interest was more focused towards Business Management than Civil Engineering. He was introduced to the President of Paul Quinn College (PQC) and later interviewed with him. After the interview, Vincent received a Presidential Scholarship to study at PQC on a full-ride.

Since attending Paul Quinn College, Vincent has been groomed as a servant leader, as this is the cardinal principle that Paul Quinn College embodies. He participated in the Duke Immerse program, where a group of students from PQC and Duke University partnered for a semester-long interdisciplinary curriculum designed around urban environmental justice and social entrepreneurship. Vincent is the Executive Director of the My Brother's Keeper initiative, designed after the nationwide program that was created by President Barack Obama. Its goal is to address persistent opportunity gaps faced by young men of color. Additionally, he is the Polemarch of the Lambda Lambda chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., a social Black Greek Letter Organization predicated upon the principle of achievement. He seeks to graduate from PQC with a Bachelors in Business Administration and pursue an MBA.

Vincent's interests are business, finance, fashion, and social justice. His goal is to teach financial literacy to high school and college students to empower them with the knowledge to attain financial freedom and build generational wealth. Additionally, he is intrigued with the idea of creating/working with a clothing company that specializes in creating business/business casual apparel.
