'Renee studied at Howard University in Washington, DC and Montgomery College in Takoma Park, Maryland. "A. RENEE DAY", Officially proclaimed by Mayor Marion Barry, Jr., January 8, l981, Washington, DC Renee also made history on this day by being the first and only Black American - male or female - to have an official reception in the United States Capitol Building - The Rotunda.
