Channing Carter holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Hampton University. Upon graduation in 2010, she was a Integrated Technology Transfer Network fellow at California State University - San Bernardino. During her year long fellowship, she was immersed in various technology commercialization projects and partnered with the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Crane, Indiana where she worked with their scientists to create commercialization roadmaps for several of their technologies.

Since then, Channing Carter has worked as a Business Analyst for Clariant Mining Solutions in The Woodlands, TX, where she did market research on growing the Mining business line. Currently, she is a Business Analyst at IHS, the premier provider of global market, industry and technical expertise.

In January 2015, Channing launched her own business, Styles By Channing Carter which is a fashion styling and image consulting agency based in Houston, TX.
