Celia Douglas

A poet, film originator, and a creative, inspirational mastermind ready to take on the world.

I am a producer, director and a spoken word poet. A few of my goals are to be a director and producer, to inspire people to express themselves through poetry, and to travel the world making films and performing spoken word.
I want to craft films to show real people the real-life situations of African Americans. African Americans should be seen more on television, films, and journalistic media, and if I could do my part to make that happen then I will do everything I can to do so.
I have competed and won Get Lit Words Ignite Classic Poetry Slam in 2014 with my high school, performed/spoken to over 1000 people, and created poetry films of my own spoken word.

I want others to not only see the possibility for change in the world but to be that possibility for change in the world. I am Celia Douglas the original. I do not only inspire to make a difference in the world --through hard work, determination, skill, and practice.
