About (request update)

If I put my mind to something I do everything within my power to accomplish it. An example is before I got to college or during my first year of college, I decided that I wanted a well-rounded college experience so I sat down and made a checklist of what constituted a well-rounded experience. My list included: learning a new language, adding at least one minor, doing research for at least one semester, studying abroad at least once, interning at least once (both abroad and other), being a leader in at least one organization, and joining a sorority. I learned German and now speak at the intermediate level, I have two minors, have done research for four semesters (including this), studied abroad three times, interned once, been a leader in three different organizations, and have joined a sorority. The only thing I have yet to accomplish is intern abroad which I am currently trying to do this summer. My actions speak for me, and they say I'm passionate, determined, and willing to do what it takes to achieve my dreams.

Current Whereabouts:

I work as a tutor on InstaEDU, am very active in my sorority (Alpha Chi Omega), and currently also doing research

Life & Professional Aspirations:

Professional aspirations: I would like to get a PhD in mechanical engineering or material science and engineering. After which, I would like to do research in industry for a few years, and eventually, someday own my own company that specializes in research in mechanics of materials in alternative energy for the government or large corporations. Life aspirations: I would like to visit all seven continents before I am 25 (have visited 5), get my pilot and scuba diving license, and be an inspiration do under-represented minority women.
