Life & Professional Aspirations:

I am an individual who has long had a passion for advocating for underprivileged students and their families, I wish to become a legal analyst for the department of Education. In order to accomplish this, one of my future goals is to attend law school to help develop and cultivate an analytical mindset. Since it is my ultimate goal to interrupt the pattern of the �School to Prison Pipeline� to which many of America�s children have become victims, I believe that serving as a legal analyst will afford me the opportunity to examine and to investigate the educational laws that both directly and indirectly sustain this detrimental practice. This has become my goal since realizing that if such trend is not dismantled, many Black and Brown students will continue to be placed on a path to prison, instead of a path to obtain a higher education.
