About (request update)

I am a thriving determined young women who has overcome many personal obstacles to get where I am today. I am a determined persevering college student with a goal, helping others with my knowledge and experiences in the medical field. I know that these struggles are just the beginning of my journey and more will come. However, overcoming these obstacles early in my life have taught me to keep smiling, keep trying, and to always get back up. I have learned that when I reach my goal people will not care about where I finished in the class, they just want to know that I finished!

Current Whereabouts:

I love to read, listen to music, play tennis, dance and eat. I like giving back to my community and helping others.

Life & Professional Aspirations:

Biomedical engineering is the area of medical science that I am most interested in. I will become a biomedical engineer because it is in my nature to help. My grandfather is who inspired me the most in my decision to become a biomedical engineer. He was always out helping others. He was also always out doing something, whether it be with me or without me. Throughout my childhood my grandfather and I made many provisions to his property. The projects we did together intrigued me. Helping him fix pipes in his home, build a patio for the backyard, and even picking out flora for his garden. My experiences building his home is what drove me to love helping others and improving things.

Varsity Debate (4 yrs, Captain 2 yrs), JV Tennis (4 yrs), Interact Club, National Honor Society, German Club, Les Meres et Debutantes Club of Greater Lansing (6 yrs), Community Service: Salvation Army

Best Memories:

Volunteering in the community, going to Germany and participating in debate.
