My name is Lael Joy Montgomery. I am the youngest child of Wynell and Jeryl Montgomery. I recently graduated at from Quartz Hill High School in Quartz Hill, California.
During my years at Quartz Hill High School, I participated in various extracurricular activities such as: the Principal’s Honor Roll, the Quartz Hill High School A’Capella Choir, the Quartz Hill High School Chamber Singers Ensemble, and the Quartz Hill High School Latin Hip Hop Dance Squad. I am currently the Teen President of the Santa Clarita/Antelope Valley chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. On March 28, 2015, I was presented as a Debutante by the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Epsilon Eta Omega Chapter. I was the 2nd place winner for Debutante of the Year.
I have done community service at New Beginnings 7th Day Adventist Community Outreach, Grace Resources, and the San Fernando Valley Senior Citizen Center. I have also volunteered for the Tijuana River Valley clean up, the Seasonal Wrap Distribution, the Angel Bin Shoe Drive, the Chi Kappa Omega canned food drive, and the Martin Luther King Supper sponsored by Jack & Jill of America, Inc. (Santa Clarita/Antelope Valley Chapter), and the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. (Chi Kappa Omega and Epsilon Eta Omega chapters).
My plans are to attend a historically black college or university, sing in the college or university choir, major in Biology and minor in Music. I aspire to become a Pediatrician.
