Dr. Angelia Arrington Ward has nearly 30 years of professional experience as a strategic and organization leader, entrepreneur, and businesswoman. Dr. A. Ward has held several leadership positions with national and international organizations. She has served on numerous committees and boards. Dr. A. Ward started her professional career as an 18 year old who served on the planning team for the US Presidential Debates at the League of Women Voters of the United States while serving as Junior a Lobbyists. In the early 90s, Dr. A. Ward relinquished her job and expanded a part time home-based small business into a multimillion dollar enterprise. She has served diverse clients to include Association, Government, Corporate and Small Business as well as dignitaries such as US Mayors, Congressional Leaders, Cabinet Members and two Presidents of the United States; as she once included The White House among her clientele.
Over the past decade, Dr. A. Ward held several leadership positions at Duke Energy to include supporting corporate executives; corporate supplier diversity and business development; customer relations and market services; information technology, contact center management and claims/collections. Currently, she serves as Manager, Claims Department where she and her team generate over $17 M in annual damage recovery. In addition, Dr. A. Ward currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at William Peace University and has taught at several local universities.
Dr. A. Ward received a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Shaw University in Raleigh, NC (cum laude); a Master, Tourism Administration from The George Washington University in Washington DC (magna cum laude); and a Doctor, Strategic Leadership from Regent University, Virginia Beach, Virginia (suma cum laude). Her dissertation project was a 40-Day Survival Guide Workbook and Seminar entitled: Leadership ACTS™: Guiding Principles for Leaders, Entrepreneurs, and Businesses.
Dr. A. Ward was once featured as a guest on the Les Brown Morning Show, BET Real Business, and The Oprah Winfrey Show. She has published several articles and she aspires to write insightful publications and deliver motivational addresses to inspire others to fulfill their passions, gifts, and talents through community service, education, leadership, coaching/mentoring, and global consulting. Dr. A. Ward is passionate about life and she believes in the power of positive thinking. She is a trusted and advisor and she conducts life and business coaching sessions with leaders, entrepreneurs, teams, and businesses. Dr. A. Ward’s personal life mantra is, “To serve with love.”
