Marina is a Southern California native turned Southern belle. She originally moved from California after high school to attend Dillard University, because she was determined to attend a Historically Black University. Since then, she has remained in the South. Marina completed her undergraduate degree in 3 years, spent 1 year working in the public education system in New Orleans, and is getting ready to begin her first year of law school. Marina aspires to use her law degree to go into educational policy and advocate for high quality educational options in urban communities. She is very passionate about civil rights and education, and plans to use the talents that God has instilled within her to be a positive change agent for minorities in urban communities.
