Tiffany Phillips-Peters was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. She is the proud daughter of Mary Milliner and Vincent Peters. She is the youngest of her mother�s children and the middle child of her father�s children. She has two older brothers, one older sister, and two younger sisters. Of all her parent�s children, Tiffany is the first to have never been suspended, graduate from high school, and to attend college.

After having to attend four different high schools and ultimately graduating from Northwestern High School in Detroit, Michigan, Tiffany made the decision to attend Philander Smith College in Little Rock, Arkansas. This was one of the hardest decisions she has ever had to make, but she does not regret it. One reason is because Tiffany is a senior about to graduate in May 2017 with her Bachelor�s Degree in Political Science. Another is because she has made the Dean�s List four times, the President�s List twice, and has received an invitation to join Alpha Kappa Mu Honor Society. Lastly, because she has been the recipient of many scholarships including: UNCF - Jacqueline Fiegnenson Scholarship 2014, UNCF Scholarship - McGregor Fund 2014-2015, UNCF - Foot Locker Scholarship 2015, UNCF - Marion Kellogg Trust Scholarship, and the Little Rock Rotary Club 99 Scholarship 2016.

In addition to Tiffany�s scholastic excellence and scholarship achievements, she is very involved on campus. Tiffany is the Vice President for her senior class and a second year Orientation Guide for Freshman Colloquium. She is also transitioning from being a mentor for the First Year Experience (FYE) Program to being a mentor for the Sophomore Student Engagement Program (SSEP). She is the previous President of the Political Science Academy; Parliamentarian of The Spanish Club; former Senator of Academic Affairs for the Student Government Association, and a former Intramural Sports Official/Scorekeeper.

Upon graduating from Philander Smith College, Tiffany intends to pursue her Master�s Degree. She plans on entering a dual degree program, so she can obtain a Master�s in Public Administration and in Social Work. Both degrees she feel will help her in conquering her long term goal of becoming a United States Senator for Michigan who places a strong emphasis on passing laws to enhance K-12 education in Detroit Public Schools.
