Mr. Howard brings engineering and program management to Coronal�s current Renewable Energy Clean Air Project (RECAP) using plasma gasification of municipal solid wastes. To be located in International Falls, Koochiching County, Minnesota the plasma gasification waste-to-energy facility will be the first of its kind in North America. Mr.Howard is also directing many similar projects in the U.S. and other parts of the world. Mr. Howard leads the technical section of the company in areas such as process flow, control systems, system integration, and biofuel production.

Mr. Howard has an extensive background in large infrastructure research development mainly in the utility and energy sectors. He worked for Honeywell 17 years and served as the Principal Business Development lead for the Global Controls Laboratory during the last five years of his career with Honeywell. In that capacity he secured several significant research projects from federal and state agencies, such as the Department of Energy (DOE), the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), California Energy Commission (CEC), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA).

In 2000, Mr. Howard secured Honeywell�s largest ever on-site generation program from DOE�s Distributed Generation Consortium worth $4.3M. Prior to Coronal, Mr. Howard developed a start-up company whose mission is to oversee the installation of turnkey Combined Heat & Power (CHP) systems for light commercial and industrial customers. Under the leadership of Mr. Howard, the company secured several commercial customers developing small CHP solutions.

Mr. Howard�s education background is a MBA degree in marketing from University of St. Thomas; a MS degree in electrical engineering from University of Minnesota; and a BS degree in electrical engineering from Howard University.
