Born in Minden, Louisiana in 1963. Graduated from Minden High School and received full Scholarship to Southern University in 1981. Graduated from Southern University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. Recruited by the City of Los Angeles in 1987 to work for the Public Works Department as a Sanitary Engineer Assistant at the City of Los Angles largest wastewater treatment plant, the Hyperion Water Reclamation Plant. As an Sanitary Engineer Assistant and now Environmental Engineer Associate I was responsible for coordinating construction activities and upgrades to of the treatment plant to Full Secondary Treatment, largest construction project for City in 1990's. I also oversaw treatment plant operations while major construction upgrades were being performed with no regulatory compliance issues or violations during the upgrades. Currently responsible for overseeing the City's nationally certified and award winning biosolids environment management program. I currently hold certifications in project management, public outreach and communications, and systems process auditing.
