My best high school memory included attending the BLACK GIRLS ROCK! Inc., 2016 BLACK GIRLS Lead Conference. The BLACK GIRLS LEAD program goal is to strengthen the soft and hard skills necessary for exceptional achievement and to foster the humanitarian spirit so that participants understand their obligation to lift as they climb, to build community and to engage in social action. I met successful women such as writer and activist, Michaela Angela Davis and former model, DJ, business woman, mentor, producer, writer and founder of Black Girls Rock!, Beverly Bond.
