About   (request update)
My life is usually referred to as a lifetime movie because the life I portray is not the life I live. Born and raised in a low-income home of South central, Los Angeles I was taught to be respectful and thankful for what I have in life. Approaching the age 14 I received life-changing news that would make me see the world in a new perspective. I was adopted. The life that I knew changed before my tears could hit the bottom of my cheek. I felt my stomach turn as I realized the lady I called mother for 14 year failed to tell me the truth about who she really was. I automatically thought about who I really was and why me out of all the people on earth. After a while I realized all my Health issues, asthma attacks, digestive stoppages, my positive TV test, and the worry of not having children because my reproductive system is weak was not fate but it was my biological mother making me suffer from her countless STD's she carried while pregnant with me. My life was in danger but in reality my mother was selling her body while carrying mine for money that wouldn't last two days. Going into my senior year of high school I accepted the fact that all my health issues were caused at the hand of another woman. I decided to become something better than my biological family and I was not going to dwell on someone else's mistakes. I was done having the Strange family name dragged in the dirt and left for dead, I had to give my biological family a reason to want to change their lives around. I now had a new task at hand and going to college was a big part of it. I am a stronger person because of my adoption. I may have been hurt, lied to, and disowned but now I strive for success. Success is my only way out of the ghetto and the only way to uplift this curse on my family’s name. I've grown stronger day and night. This situation is not a problem but it's a learning experience for me and a reminder of why I have to meet my goals. My goals in life grow bigger each day with each step I take. I now hold the qualities of a young lady. I have learned respect, patience, and the true meaning of hard. Failing is not an option for me. I am optimistic and i will learn from my past that blessings live in every lesson. I plan to reach my goal even if I have to fight my way through but I know I will last until the end to finish my story. I am proud of my past and where I come from because without those obstacles I wouldn't know the value in life and I wouldn't be as strong and grateful for things in life.
Current Whereabouts:
Im currently into busniess track field opportunities.
Life & Professional Aspirations:
Raised in Watts, California I was able to see my future at a young age. I had a voice, dream, and a purpose through God himself. I was able to speak my femininity into actions and lend a hand to those who needed it. I believe what you speak is who you are, meaning I hold myself to high standards with anything I do. I embrace my womanhood not only physically but mentally and spiritually. I live in the skin of a hard working woman. I grace the streets of both Los Angeles and Baltimore with a kind touch, understanding, and strength. I maintain an open mind while I insert myself into political issues. I can see the importance in such a great international opportunity. I would use this trip to engage with the culture, and allow their knowledge to teach and influence me. While staying focused on my own personal academic pathway, I will spread the teaching and spread the word to my friends and family I’m seeking a new civilization; a new government, way of thinking, and aquaculture settings. I am excited to find myself in world created for me. My dreams, goals, and strive are unstoppable.
