Life & Professional Aspirations:

While my career goal is to become a Chief Financial Officer, my ultimate goal in life is to be successful. To me success is not determined by how much wealth I accumulate, my title or my rank, but by how many people I am able to reach back and help, and encourage to achieve their goals. I plan to major in finance. After I graduate with my finance degree, I plan to become a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) and pursue a career in finance. Another reason I want to go into finance is to give back to the community that I am from. I plan to return to my hometown to give back to my community in a major way. One of the best kept secrets about Tulsa, OK is the 1921 Tulsa Race "Riot", in which over one thousand black owned businesses were destroyed. Since I learned about this massacre it has been my long term goals to graduate from college and come back to my hometown and to help restore economic prosperity to the African American community in North Tulsa. It is an aspiration of mine to improve the quality of life of disadvantaged and underprivileged communities all over the nation. I want to start a non for profit business that helps black people save and invest their money so that they can generate long term wealth. It is imperative that children and adults, especially in the black community, realize the importance of financial literacy, saving, and investing money.
