Current Whereabouts:
I am interested in clinical psychology. I realize that within the black community we fail to talk about issues pertaining to mental health because there is a stigma that exists. I want to close the gap, and start a conversation about what it means to take care of your mind and body. In addition, I am greatly passionate about music. Growing up, I was heavily surrounded by the arts. I attended a performing arts school during elementary and junior high school. I literally eat, breathe, live music. Just recently, Spelman offered a Music Business and Entrepreneurship course in which we were educated on subjects related to working in the music industry and all the positions offered. We went over subjects like, copyright infringement, contracts, and performance right organizations. This class really encouraged me to really pursue my dreams of moving towards my dream of becoming an artists manager, and music journalist.
