In 2003 I enrolled into Bauder college as a Fashion Merchandising major. Since the age of 16 years old I've had the dream of becoming a fashion designer. I began sketching at 16, wrote my first business plan at 16, and designed my class homecoming queen backless dress.
My art teacher urged me to apply to Savannah College of Art and Design and gave me her number so that she could write a letter of recommendation. I took one look at the qualifications and was intimidated. With fashion design still burning in my belly after choosing the wrong major and a few financial setbacks that eventually led me to leave Bauder College. I was and still is determined to make my dream come true. Since then, I started an online boutique teaching myself PhotoShop, and Marketing. I still had more to learn with the Design portion. For the past 2 years I have sketched more than 15 collections with a box full of ideas for more collections, accessories, and furniture designs. I have taught myself via YouTube and books Sewing, Patternmaking, and Fabric Printing. Most of my sketches are Couture items which is a lot of beading, 3D, and embroidery. So, I've promised myself that regardless of when that I will have my dream. I have finally applied to SCAD and being that I have sketched sooo much these past 2 years I have enough material to make a portfolio to enter the school. I plan to go to SCAD during the Winter quarter in January. This is my passion.
Current Whereabouts:
Raising my 3 year old son and learning all that I can about the fashion industry.

I aspire to become a fashion designer.
