About (request update)

My name is Oriane Asmore. I am twenty five years old attending Southern University at New Orleans. I plan on graduating and getting my undergraduate and graduate degree in Social Work. I joined the Social Work field because of a family situation with my younger cousins who were not being properly nurtured and taken care of, I was moved by the situation and decided that if I could not help them I would love to help other kids in their situation. I am also a devout Roman Catholic who loves the Lord and attend church every Sunday. I believe Social Work and Christianity go hand and hand.

Current Whereabouts:

I am currently into anything dealing with the Social Work field so I am able to learn more about it. I plan on joining the National Association of Social Workers, National Association of Black Workers and our SOS program at Southern University at New Orleans. These are organizations that will help me learn and understand more about the field I love outside of the classroom setting. I also love dance, and am interested in joining a sorority at Southern University.

Life & Professional Aspirations:

My longterm goal is to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I want to work in the foster care department dealing with adoptions and ensuring the children have a nurturing family to take care of them

Claim To Fame:

I have no claim to fame. I am a college student majoring in Social Work and pursuing my undergraduate degree. I am a junior and my goal is to graduate Southern University at New Orleans with my BSW degree as well as obtain my Masters and eventually become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

Most Memorable Moment:

My most memorable college moments was when I attended Delgado Community College and went to Texas with the Student Government Association. I was a senator then and we had an amazing time with the other Student Government Association groups from other schools from all over the country.

High School: Bryan Adams HIgh School in Dallas, TX class of 2010

Activities & Accomplishments:

In high school, I was a part of the cheerleading squad where we performed at Pep Rallys and games. and I was also in the high school choir.

Best Memories:

My best high school memories was our senior trip to Mexico. It was my first time going to Mexico. We ate great food, danced to Mexican music and enjoyed our senior vacation. It was wonderful.
