About   (request update)
Being different isn't always so great, it’s more like you were destined to be lonely from the start. It causes you to feel like an outcast in society because your background isn’t considered normal. At times I find myself feeling like the complete outsider when I am with a group friends because there's always a feeling in my gut, that makes me feel like I don’t belong, or I just want to stay in my room and drown in my own thoughts.

Growing up for me wasn’t a wonderful ride in the park; full of life changing experiences that every adolescent comes across. It was more of me trying to figure out why I couldn’t fit in with the rest of the kids or come from a normal family with a mother and a father. Instead, I was born into a family that seemed unusual to me because my parents were in a same-sex relationship, which meant that they couldn’t biologically have a child, so my birth was ‘planned’.

Coming from such nature, I struggled with discussing and understanding my home life as a child, it was almost as if I was ashamed of my parents. Yet, I wasn’t ashamed of them, I loved them with all my heart and appreciated their efforts to make sure I never needed for anything, but it was more like I was afraid of what people would think of me and how it would cause them to judge me based off my parent’s sexual orientation.

As I grew older into my teenage years, I began to become more comfortable with myself and my family, because I realized that I wasn’t the only one who had parents that were in a same-sex relationship. Along with discovering that there were several other kids whose family setup was similar to mines, I learned that if someone can’t accept you for who you are and where you come from, then that person isn’t a true friend. In all, I believe my struggle of trying to understand why my life and family wasn’t normal, shaped me into the individual I am today.

Everything in life happens for a reason, and we must learn to deal with it even if we feel uncertain of the matter. As for myself, I learned that I had to accept the fact that my parents were homosexual in order for me to feel comfortable inviting others into my life. Although, I still feel like I don’t fit in when it comes to my social life, I know that I’m not alone because there's always someone else who can relate. Overall, my life's a journey that consist of learning to accept things and people for who they are but it all started with accepting myself, regardless of where I came from.
Life & Professional Aspirations:
In all, I truly do love to act and discover new characteristics about myself and how I can express them out loud. “Actors in any capacity, artists of any stripe, are inspired by their curiosity, by their desire to explore all quarters of life, in light and in dark, and reflect what they find in their work.” (Tom Hiddleston). This quote defines, my passion for acting because I am constantly discovering new characteristics about myself, that I never thought I could embody. I’ve also learned that I crave truthful performance, it is one of the most beautiful things that one can display. It often goes unnoticed because it is not visual, it’s within my passion. It is not marked by a sense of ‘performing’ or ‘acting’, it is intuitive, natural, and most of all truthful. Acting to me is a continuous journey, that teaches me new things and brings me out of my comfort zone to be all that I can be. Ambiguous, ambitious, and aspiring, these are the words that define me, when it comes to acting.
