About   (request update)
I am Ajanae Kevon Washington. What makes me special is I am truly alive, I remember a point in my life where I lived in a shell called a body and was dead on the inside. I never fit in, I was the shortest in my family, I speak in a really soft tone so I was always bullied and teased because of my voice, my body parts on this little body grew to shapes that I had no desire for, and this brought attention to the one who really desired to be in the background. One day I found life when I found sound, I remembered going to church and listening to one of my church members who was a female kill the drums and I envisioned myself doing this. I remember the first time I picked up the sticks, the animals propably thought the world was going under and sought refuge! I remember being in my room cutting myself because I wanted the pain to escape and all I could hear was the sound of the drums, I would stay after church to play and I would ask that awesome girl to help me who soon became my best friend and one day out of nowhere while playing this sound came from my sticks that opened the heavens and it was the first time I felt alive. I did not realize that it would turn into a gift that no man gave me as I am now the only female on my drum line who can play the quads and I am a drum major. What made me special was just when I thought my world was over I became a butterfly! This lead to me drawing and singing I realized as my daddy told me I was the sky and never set my limits low!
