I am the first African American women golfer at my school. I am a member of the JLPGA, Junior Ladies Professional Golf Association. I played basketball for 2 years. The clubs that I participate in a
Best Memories:
My best high school memory was when I made the basketball team. I was on the team my freshman year of high school. I went out my sophomore year and was cut. Friends laughed at me and teased me. I was determined to win a spot back on the team. I dedicated all of my free time in practicing and training to get better. Then, my junior year, I could not believe it, I made the team. People at my school were saying that it never happened when a person got cut that they came back. Yes, I claimed my crown. I showed my fellow students and team mates that with tenacity, dedication and focus anything is possible. That was the greatest feeling ever!
